Some tips and guides for Newborn Photography:
I only take on a certain amount of newborn shoots each month.... so its best to book well in advance, as I fill up pretty quickly :)
When should I book my Newborn Shoot?
It really is best to do your Newborn Shoot within the first 5 - 9 days of your baby being born. That is when you get those really squishy sleepy images. The younger the are the better, in theory :) you just never know with Newborns. It's best to book your newborn shoot quite a bit in advance. I pencil you in on your due date, then as soon as your baby is born, you let me know and we can confirm a date and time. I also only shoot Newborns in the morning, as they tend to get grumpier as the day goes on.
Please understand that every newborn is different, and it is not possible to get all the poses that are on my website. Please don't stress if your Newborn doesn't settle, sometimes it can take up to an hour before we even start.
Please don't wait for your baby to be born before contacting me, I get quite a few emails when the baby is 3/4 weeks old already, by then its a bit too late..You will have missed the squishy sleepiness of the Newborn...
Should your baby be over the 12 day posing period, then the shoot then becomes lifestyle

Can I have family/sibling images too?
I can do a few family images at the beginning. Its best, if there are siblings, to come in two cars. Then the dad can leave with the sibling while the mom and I carry on with the shoot. It can be a long session and the little ones tend to get a bit tired and bored after a while. There is a lot of sitting around and waiting until the baby is totally asleep.
